Colwell Group Architects is an award-winning firm offering comprehensive architecture and interior design services. Led by Dennis Colwell, a seasoned principal designer with over 17 years of experience, we specialize in creating luxurious and timeless interiors using high-end materials and finishes. Our unique designs are tailored to client objectives, budgets, and the aesthetic of the space, ensuring a personalized approach for every project. With notable projects including prestigious institutions and distinguished clients, our versatile expertise spans historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and upscale residential and hospitality ventures. Jamie is the Director of Commercial Design and joined the Colwell Group in 2018. He directly oversees the development and production of all commercial projects in the firm. Jamie graduated from Roger Williams University with a Bachelor of Architecture, and has been a registered architect since 2003. Jamie has extensive experience in corporate offices, banking, retail, hospitality, education, industrial and multi-family housing projects. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Jamie oversees the integration of sustainable design practices and energy conservation into the design process. He also acts as a code consultant resource to the firm.

Jamie has volunteered in the Roger Williams NCARB mentorship program, helping to provide experience to architecture students to gain experience towards the accreditation process. He also has served on several boards to help mold the design of projects in his local town.

When not in the office, Jamie enjoys playing golf, and playing sports with his 3 sons.

Phil has been with Colwell Group since 2012, and has managed projects across the spectrum of the firm’s portfolio, including residential alterations and additions, custom homes, commercial office and retail spaces, entertainment venues, cultivation facilities, and more.

As Director of Residential Design, he oversees all of Colwell Group’s residential projects, and engages with clients throughout the project, from the initial consultation, to the delivery of permit and construction documents, and beyond.

Phil is a graduate of Roger Williams University, earning Bachelor of Science of Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees.

As Senior Interior Designer at the Colwell Group, Madison specializes in delivering design solutions that are functional, practical, and a reflection of our clients’ needs. She has led the design of numerous residential and commercial projects bringing them from concept to completion. Her keen eye for details, forward thinking approach to design, and innate desire to make visions come to life, enables Madison to guide clients’ through every phase of the design process.

Madison received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Interior Design from High Point University. She now holds her NCIDQ certificate as a certified Interior Designer.

Kristine Colwell is a skilled project coordinator, bringing her expertise and organizational skills to ensure the smooth execution of various aspects of the business. Kristine excels at coordinating, managing resources, and facilitating effective communication behind the scenes, resulting in successful project outcomes. Her passion for client satisfaction and commitment to delivering high-quality work make her an invaluable asset to CG.

Bill is an experienced financial analyst with multiple years of experience in all aspects of accounting and financial reporting across several industries, mainly in the banking and leasing industries. This experience includes accounting, auditing, billing, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, account reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis as well as project accounting and billing.

Bill has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley College as well as a Master of Business Administration from Babson College.
